Penn Peel Cottage Bed and Breakfast is a delightful country cottage dating back to 1860 which is full of charm and character. The cottage is situated on a quiet country lane on the outskirts of the picturesque rural village of Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury. A very warm welcome awaits you.
We have luxurious ground floor rooms with en-suites (one with wet room) which are easily accessible. The accommodation is full of character including beams and log burner in the cosy lounge. There is a choice of breakfasts from locally sourced produce including free range eggs with home cured bacon and sausages from the prestigious Battlefield 1403 Farmshop served on fine china.
Within walking distance, there is a public house (Red Lion) with live music nights, shop, post office, fish and chip takeaway, hairdressers with beauty salon, village hall (open to non-members), tennis court, cricket ground and children’s play area. Fishing can be undertaken at Merrington Green, the River Severn or one of the meres in Ellesmere.
This is a village gone back in time located 4 miles north of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. With views towards Pim Hill, which rises to 163m and covered in Rhodendrums in early summer, Bomere Heath is easily accessible to Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Chester, North Wales, Ironbridge Gorge, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
